Cookie Policy
This translation is provided for information purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version of this Cookie Policy shall prevail.
The short, honest version: Tararea does not use advertising, profiling or tracking cookies. No social media pixels, no third-party analytics.
Our visit statistics are our own and use no cookies: they store and read nothing on your device and cannot identify you or track you from one day to the next. That's why this notice is informational: everything we use is strictly necessary for the service to work, and the applicable rules (GDPR, the Spanish LSSI and the AEPD's guidelines) exempt it from consent.
What we use, one by one
| Name | Who | What for | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Auth session | Google Firebase (part of the service) | Keeping you securely signed in between visits. | Until you sign out | Strictly necessary (local storage / IndexedDB) |
| tararea-theme | Tararea | Remembering your chosen visual theme so it loads without flickering. | Persistent (updates itself) | Preferences (local storage) |
| tararea-cookie-notice | Tararea | Remembering that you've already seen this notice so we don't show it again. | Persistent | Strictly necessary (local storage) |
| Google Sign-In cookies | Google (accounts.google.com) | Only if you use “Continue with Google”: Google uses its own cookies to authenticate you with your account. | Managed by Google | Necessary for the authentication you request |
| Stripe cookies | Stripe (checkout.stripe.com) | Only if you buy credits: payment happens on Stripe's secure page, which uses its cookies to prevent fraud and process the charge. | Managed by Stripe, on its own domain | Necessary for the payment you request |
How to control them
You can clear local storage and cookies from your browser settings at any time (in Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data). If you clear your session, you'll simply need to sign in again.
If this changes
If we ever add cookies that require your consent (for example, third-party analytics), this notice will become a real consent panel, with the option to accept or reject before anything is activated. We'll update this page with the date of the change.
